The BHT-100 is utilized for various downhole evaluation applications such as checking gas lift valves, locating the top of cement, locating fluid entries and leaks, detecting fluid movement behind pipe, etc.

A temperature survey can be conducted making several stationary stops in the wellbore or can be run in a logging mode. A logging operation would include recording time vs. depth data with Micro-Smart’s slickline depth recorder while moving the gauge at a constant line speed across the wellbore interval of interest. An API log presentation or coordinate plot can then be generated and used for evaluation.

The BHT-100 is tough, dependable, simple, and intelligent. The gauge utilizes a fast response, high resolution (0.01° F), platinum RTD temperature probe. The probe is mounted at the bottom of the tool in a special designed, slotted cage. The four slot windows in the cage assure full access to wellbore fluids. This is critical for the accurate measurement of the smallest wellbore temperature anomalies.

Advanced reporting features are available such as data printouts, gradient reports, gradient plots and standard time vs. temperature plots.
